February 4th pix

It's all over but the shouting. Signed the mural on the 2nd of February 2011.

here I am with about 1/4 of my monster. 

I wish there was a way to arrange these pix in order as they appear in the mural. Since trying to get the whole mural in one shot (other than from an angle from the top of the stairs) is not possible, I opted for a collage of it. Problem is, I can't figure how to move these pix around to visually make sense of it. Sigh.

Home made brush extensions make the 6' ladder almost tall enough to get the mural to the ceiling.

Getting the whole horse to the left into the picture means cutting off the rear end of the last horse to the right. I'm back as far as I can get from the Mural (20 feet) on the same plane as it.  So getting further back is not an option.

Also, this photo shows progress on the sunset colors.

Foreground rocks have been added.

Here's a shot of the far right portion of the mural with the nose of the far left horse cut off due to the fact that I'm up against the far wall 20' away from it.

Here you can see the far left horse entirely.

Here I've finally filled in the basic forms of the foreground and middle ground of the mural past the two windows in the mural wall. I plan to add rock and cactus elements to the foreground.
